Concubines Of Qing Emperor (DVD) (End) (ATV Drama (Multi-audio) (US Version)

Often compared to Korea's Dae Jang Geum and Hong Kong's War and Beauty, the big budget costume drama Concubines Of Qing Emperor is about the struggles and conflicts between a group of royal concubines and other palace dwellers during the reign of Daoguang Emperor in Qing Dynasty China. Similar to its cousins, the 30-episode Mainland Chinese production achieved robust ratings when it was aired in China in 2006. Part of its success can be attributed to the cast, which is made up of famous television stars from Hong Kong (Alice Chan, Benny Chan Ho Man, Benny Chan Chin Pang), Taiwan (Annie Yi, Victor Huang), Mainland China (Hu Jing, Huo Siyan, Pan Hong), and Singapore (Florence Tan).

Koisuru Madori (DVD) (Standard Edition) (English Subtitled) (Japan Version)

Similar to NANA and Tokyo Friends, Koisuru Madori is a bright, wistful tale about love, friendship, and the new experiences one encounters coming of age in the big city. Directed by Oku Akiko, the film sees the fresh pairing of talented young actor Matsuda Ryuhei (Nightmare Detective) with television starlet Aragaki Yui (My Boss, My Hero) and Oscar-nominated actress Kikuchi Rinko from Babel. Koisuru Madori brings together pop sensibilities and heartfelt sentiments for a film that speaks honestly to the confused lives and hearts of young urbanites. Beautiful college student Yui (Aragaki Yui) moves into her own apartment for the first time, beginning a new life of independence. Still green when it comes to life and love, she soon develops a crush on her moody upstairs neighbor Takashi (Matsuda Ryuhei). It turns out that Yui's apartment is actually the former abode of Takashi's ex-girlfriend Atsuko (Kikuchi Rinko) whom Yui also befriends by chance. And thus begins an unexpected journey of romance and friendship for these three very different people.
